Dave

Indianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City Chiefs are a 5.5 point favorite with an O/U of 57

The Colts look like world beaters last week against the Houston Texans and I know a lot of the betting money is going on the Colts this week. However Kansas City is one of the toughest places to play and the Chiefs have too much talent for the Colts. With the point spread of 5.5 I think the Chiefs should win more than that. However if this line changes to 7 or seven a 7.5 I might have to rethink this pick.

I'm taking the Kansas City Chiefs and laying the points

Dallas Cowboys at the Los Angeles Rams

Los Angeles Rams are 7 point favorite with an O/U of 49.5

With the addition of Amari Cooper Dallas has really turned around their season and are playing great playoff football. Los Angeles has been struggling as of late however I think this is the week they turned it around. I think it should be a high-scoring affair with Los Angeles eventually coming out on top.

I'm taking the Los Angeles Rams

Los Angeles chargers at the New England Patriots

New England Patriots are 4 point favorite with an O/U of 45.5

I know this game is taking place in New England but I love what the Chargers did last week in containing the very mobile Lamarr Jackson from the Ravens. I think this is going to be a low-scoring game because the Patriots are not the Patriots of old as the line would suggest. I like the talent on the Chargers team and that's who I'm gone with.

I'm taking the Los Angeles Chargers

Philadelphia Eagles at the New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints are a 8 point favorite with an O/U of 50.5

Last time these two teams met the Saints destroyed the Eagles. However the Eagles are different team with Nick Foles now at the helm and this one should be much closer than their first meeting this year. My big concern is the Philadelphia Eagles secondary who gave up over 300 yards passing last week to Mitchell Trubisky. I'm not saying the Eagles are going to win this but I really think they're going to keep it close.

I'm taking the Philadelphia Eagles

Doug

Indianapolis Colts @ Kansas City Chiefs

Chiefs are a 5.5 point favorite with an O/U of 57

The Colts shut down the Texans last week in the Wildcard game.  That defense played extremely well, locking down on DeAndre Hopkins.  Luck and offense looked focused and determined to jump on top and stay there against Houston.  And I think that defense will need an even better effort against the high-powered KC offense. The game comes down to that Indy offense vs a mediocre KC defense.  The Colts may not win but I think they’ll at least keep it close here.

Pick is Colts

Los Angeles Chargers @ New England Patriots

Patriots are a 4 point favorite with an O/U of 45.5

It used to be, the Pats are at home in the playoffs, they’ll win easy.  It was also, they’re playing Philip Rivers, they’ll win easy. Not so sure this time around.  Pats team just looks beatable this year. And they’re facing a Chargers team that’s 8 and 1 on the road this year, including that dominating playoff win against the Ravens.  The Chargers as a road dog looks like the way to go here.

Pick is Chargers

Philadelphia Eagles @ New Orleans Saints

Saints are a 8 point favorite with an O/U of 50.5

The Eagles got lucky last week with the “double doink” against the Bears.  This week they’ll be facing probably the best offense in the league. Down the stretch though, New Orleans seemed to lose some steam, playing some very close games.  The Saints defense isn’t as tough as Chicago’s and I have a really hard time going against a Foles-led Eagles offense. They always seem to get it done and I think we’ll see a closer game than that 8 point spread.

Pick is Eagles

Dallas Cowboys @ Los Angeles Rams

Rams are a 7 point favorite with an O/U of 45.5

The Rams are coming off a bye week and Sean McVay has two road wins following a bye, but I have to admit, I’m enjoying watching this Cowboys team.  They seem to have everything moving in the right direction and the Rams offense has looked very different since Cooper Kupp went down. Running back Todd Gurley will be playing but still has that knee injury lingering.  I’m going with the Cowboys here.

Pick is Cowboys

Chris Christie To Congress, Leagues: “Get The Hell Out” Of Sports Betting by Eric Ramsey

App Install_468x60

NEW ORLEANS — Chris Christie was the guest of honor at the National Council of Legislators from Gaming States (NCLGS) winter meeting here last weekend.
It’s not a stretch to say the former governor of New Jersey is one of the primary reasons more than 250 people gathered to talk about sports betting. It was under his tenure that the state challenged — and later toppled — the federal sports betting ban known as PASPA.
In his keynote address Friday to policymakers, Christie delivered a stern rejection of both league and federal involvement in sports betting.
